The Sting will represent Idaho at the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships in Murfreesboro, Tenn. beginning July 13. Offensive highlights included 8 home runs (1 grand slam), 12 doubles, 3 triples, 41 singles and 12 stolen bases. Pitching highlights included 41 strikeouts, a .808 ERA, and 3 no-hitters. The Crush are heading to Zoom into June in Chino Hills, Calif., this weekend. The BVB IA team competed in the Male U13 EWSL Division 1 bracket with a mixed-age roster that included U11, U12, U13 and U14 players. The team finished the EWSL season in second place with a 3–2–1 record, 13 goals scored, 10 goals allowed, a +3 goal differential and 10 points. Photo by KAYLEAN MAY The Sting Soccer Club 2013 Girls Academy team captured the Idaho State Cup championship with two victories this past weekend in Boise. The Sting opened the weekend in the semifinal round with a 1-0 victory against IFFC 2013G on Saturday to earn a spot in the championship game. On Sunday, the Sting faced Idaho Rush 13 Elite in the State Cup Final. Both teams battled throughout regulation, finishing tied 1-1. The match moved to a penalty kick shootout, where the Sting converted four penalties while limiting Idaho Rush to two goals. The 4-2 shootout victory clinched the Idaho State Cup championship.
