Peters, a junior from Post Falls High, finished 29th overall in the women's 10,000-meter run in 34 minutes, 14.91 seconds on May 28 in the NCAA First Round at John McDonnell Field in Fayetteville, Ark. The top 12 finishers advanced to the national meet in Eugene in June.

Oregon Tech softball
The junior from Coeur d'Alene High and North Idaho College was named to the third team as the 2026 NAIA Softball All-Americans, Player and Pitcher of the Year were announced. Schmidt was the Cascade Conference Newcomer of the Year for the Lady Owls of Klamath Falls, Ore., after going 19-4 with a 1.66 ERA with six shutouts, three saves and 159 strikeouts in 156.1 innings pitched.
