Foundation awards nearly $300K through Idaho Future Fund

The Idaho Community Foundation on Tuesday announced the 2026 Idaho Future Fund grant recipients. This year, the fund will award $293,758 to 27 nonprofits, schools, and community organizations working to strengthen educational opportunities for Idaho children and youth.
Established by an anonymous couple in Blaine County, the Idaho Future Fund supports projects that help students learn, grow, and thrive from preschool through 12th grade.
“These grants help organizations meet real needs in their communities, from preschool access and literacy support to after-school learning and summer enrichment,” said Kent Fogg, director of impact at the Idaho Community Foundation. “By investing in these local efforts, the Idaho Future Fund helps trusted partners advance their missions and create more opportunities for Idaho students to succeed.
North Region, receiving a total of $70,758 in grant funds:
• Bonner County
Kaniksu Land Trust, Inc. — summer camp scholarships, literacy programming, and meals for youth; $5,000.
Priest Lake Community Education Foundation, Inc. — free preschool and kindergarten readiness classes; $10,000.
• Idaho County
Grangeville High School — updated science instructional materials and equipment; $10,000.
• Kootenai County
Kootenai Joint School District 274 — preschool staffing support; $15,000.
• Lewis County
Upriver Youth Leadership Council, Inc. — after-school and summer educational programming for youth; $14,000.
• Nez Perce County
Boys and Girls Clubs of the Lewis-Clark Valley, Inc. Endowment Trust — after-school academic support and summer learning programs; $7,000.
• Shoshone County
Avery School District 394 — early learning programming for children from birth to age 5; $10,758
