LEGION BASEBALL: Northern Lakes swept to open league

SPIRIT LAKE — The visiting Lewis-Clark Cubs swept the Northern Lakes Mountaineers 10-7 and 12-7 in the class A North Idaho League opener for both teams Sunday at John Shaffer Field. 

Gage Tenney had a two-run single in the third inning of the first game for Northern Lakes (2-2). 

Nate Beardsall drove in a pair of runs in the second game for the Mountaineers. 

Lewis-Clark is 4-0. 

Northern Lakes plays host to Prairie in a North Idaho League game on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Spirit Lake.
