The kindergarten students have spent the year building important academic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics while also learning valuable life lessons about kindness, responsibility, and citizenship.
Before the school year ended, the students' hard work was recognized at a special promotion ceremony, Idaho Hill Elementary principal Loretta Glazier said.
"Throughout the year, they worked hard to develop classroom routines, make new friends, solve problems, and become confident learners," Glazier said.
During the promotion ceremony, families enjoyed watching their children proudly receive certificates recognizing their successful completion of kindergarten and their readiness for first grade.
Glazier congratulated the students on their accomplishments and praised them for their enthusiasm, perseverance, and growth throughout the school year.
"Our kindergarten students have learned so much this year," she said. "They have become readers, writers, mathematicians, and caring classmates. We are proud of their hard work and excited to see all they accomplish in first grade."
Glazier said the ceremony served as a reminder of how much students can achieve in a single year. From learning letters and sounds to reading books, counting numbers, and developing friendships, the kindergarten class has made tremendous progress, she added.
Idaho Hill Elementary staff extends their gratitude to the kindergarten team and families whose support helped make this year a success. Together, Glazier said they built a strong foundation for these young learners as they continue their educational journey.
"Congratulations to the Idaho Hill Elementary kindergarten class," she said. "We wish you a safe summer and look forward to seeing all the wonderful things you will accomplish in first grade."
