Numbers add up for successful softball season at Thompson Falls

The final numbers are in, and they add up to a successful season for coach Jared Koskela and his Thompson Falls-Noxon Blue Hawk softball team.
The Hawks ended play with a 10-15 record at the Western B-C divisional tournament in Anaconda several weeks ago.
Season-ending statistics provided by Koskela paint a picture of offensive productivity and defensive efficiency with his young squad, and points to a promising future for Blue Hawk softball.
Freshman catcher Nevaeh Christensen, an All-State B-C and first team Northwestern B-C selection, led the Hawks in hitting average at .526, belted a team-leading three home runs and drove in 19 runs.
Also a first team Northwestern conference pick senior Annalise Fairbank hit at a .482 clip with 21 runs batted in, and Kassidy Dana, an honorable mention all-conference selection, hit .447 and had 16 RBI.
Audrey Fairbank (432), Kaydence Pavlik (.425), Sydnie Eichert (.424), Kylee Borgmann (.421), Marley Robinson (.371), Kaylie Mercer (.359) and Addie Traver (.338).
Mercer led the Hawks with 24 runs batted in and three triples, Traver had 19 RBI, Pavlik 13 and Robinson and Audrey Fairbank 12 each. Robinson hit two home runs this season and Kassidy and Mercer one apiece.
The Fairbank sisters each scored 27 runs to tie for high team honors.
In the field, Annalise Fairbank recorded a team-best fielding percentage of .966 from her first base position, Pavlik .958 from the pitcher’s circle and Christensen .953 from her catching position.
