Swim team 4th at Shelby

The Columbia Falls summer swim team took a small mix of very experienced and very new swimmers to the season opener in Shelby last weekend to kick off the 2026 season.
The team took fourth place.
Fjord Borgen and James McClure secured high point awards in their age groups. Other stand out swimmers from the weekend were Loxley Borgen, Hazel Bigelow, Harper Row, and Ben Olpalka.
“Most importantly, the team was able to set their baselines for work and improvement this season. We are extremely excited and will be working hard all week to get ready for Conrad this weekend. On behalf of the coaches, board and swim team families, we want to thank the City of Columbia Falls for their continued support and for the upgrades to the facilities that will keep our community enjoying the pool for years to come,” coach Kyle Babcock said.
