For the 49th time Pend Oreille Arts Council is turning downtown Sandpoint into one huge art gallery.
With 25 locations and over 100 local artists exhibiting their work, ArtWalk opens this Friday, June 12, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with artist receptions at each location. The city-wide exhibit runs through Aug. 31.
“I want everyone to come celebrate Sandpoint’s favorite summer tradition,” POAC’s Arts Administrator Claire Lutz said. “Many locations will be hosting special receptions featuring artist demonstrations, live music, refreshments and opportunities to meet the artists behind the work.”
Lutz added that this free, family friendly event gives locals an opportunity to discover local artists, explore downtown businesses, and to run into neighbors and friends who are also out enjoying our unique community spirit.
