Drake Allan Hinkle, 21
Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 1 day, 7 hours AGO
It is with profound sadness that we announce Drake Allan Hinkle of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho passed away on June 5, 2026, at the age of 21.
Drake was born June 7, 2004, in Coeur d'Alene to parents, Buck Hinkle and Shannon Bohanek. He attended Lake City High School before working in landscaping, starting at Rimrock Hardscapes with his brothers, Hunter and Riley, then moving to Roots Landscape.
A beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend, he was known for his kind heart, willingness to help others, fierce loyalty, and foul sense of humor. He spent his days working out, playing video games and riding dirt bikes. Drake was always at his happiest when surrounded by his family, whether that be making memories on vacation or hanging out with his brothers at home.
Though he is no longer with us, his light and the memories we shared will remain in our hearts forever. We are heartbroken by this loss and will miss him more than words can express.
He is survived by his parents, Buck Hinkle and Shannon Bohanek of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; his brothers, Riley and Hunter Schaffer, and Ryker Hinkle of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; sister, Amanda O’Rorke née Hinkle (Rory) of Sandpoint, Idaho; as well as grandparents, Raina Weyen (Dean) of Kendrick, Idaho, and Terry Bohanek of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Nancy Singleton of Sandpoint, Idaho.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Drake's life at Q’emiln Park in Post Falls, Idaho at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2026.
