Meet Bretta Provost, a Coeur d'Alene woman whose storied career has taken her from professional engineer to entrepreneur, marketing leader and community connector.
After earning her degree in civil environmental engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Bretta began her career with engineering firms in the Denver area before stepping into entrepreneurship through consulting, wellness, hospitality and eventually digital marketing.
Her move to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho brought marriage, motherhood and the adventure of helping run a boutique hotel. Along the way, she discovered a passion for branding, storytelling and helping businesses show up online with confidence.
After creating hundreds of live videos, Bretta was encouraged to compete in her first pageant at age 43 for Mrs. Idaho America, where she discovered a love for the stage, personal growth, and the lifelong bonds of pageant sisterhood.
Today, as the founder of Front ROI Marketing, Bretta helps business owners share their story, strengthen their systems, and shine in the digital world, with transparency, integrity and results.
1) What is Lemonade Day?
Lemonade Day is sweet little lemonade stands with a big purpose. Kids learn how to start, own, and run a business, from setting goals to serving customers to giving back. It’s entrepreneurship in its simplest, most joyful form. Spend. Save. Share.
Lemonade Day is Saturday, June 20.
2) What drove you to bring the tradition to Kootenai County?
I love seeing kids realize they’re capable of more than they thought. As a mom, business owner, and community member, I wanted our kids here in Kootenai County to have a fun, hands-on way to learn confidence, money skills, and leadership.
3) What is it like being in pageants and being Ms. Idaho (and more recently, Ms. Pacific Northwest)?
I like to say it’s a crown with a personal growth plan attached. Pageants have pushed me to use my voice, stand confidently in who I am, and represent my community with purpose. It’s less about the crown and more about the courage it brings out.
4) What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
People might be surprised that before marketing and pageants, I was a civil/environmental engineer. Yes, I love the glamour, but I also love systems, problem-solving and a good spreadsheet.
5) Why is Lemonade Day important for kids?
Because kids need more chances to try, lead, mess up, learn, and try again. Lemonade Day teaches them that their ideas matter, and that business can be fun, creative and rooted in giving back.
