The Human Rights Education Institute is offering summer camps and programs for youth.

HREI summer camps and programs provide an outlet for younger generations to learn how to be human rights advocates and explore other cultures through music, arts and crafts, and other activities while on break from school.

HREI is hosting activity days this month which celebrate important holidays in American History.

On Thursday, June 18, HREI will celebrate Juneteenth National Independence Day and learn about the Civil rights movement and the American Story of Emancipation.

On Tuesday, June 30 and Thursday July 2, participate in America 250 activities as a family. Commemorate our nation’s history and learn about important historical figures, what it means to have patriotism and enjoy patriotic games and activities. There will be different activities on each day.

All activity days are free and have traditional food and treats served for a light lunch.

Activities will be hosted from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at HREI, 414 West Fort Grounds Drive.

HREI will host three summer camps this season and several youth and teen activity days. For information, go to HREI.org/hrei-summer-camps.
