Montana All-Stars sweep Wyoming in hoops Friday

GILLETTE, Wyo. — The first game was a rout, the second game was a fourth-uqarter runaway and the Montana All-Stars swept Wyoming in the first two games of their annual basketball series Friday night.
Gallatin product Jada Davis scored 20 points and Baker’s Madison O’Connor added 16 as the girls won 86-30 in the first game.
Lincoln Rogers’ 17 points led the way for the Montana boys, who pulled away from a 10-point lead after three quarters to win 92-72.
Montana girls win big
The contest was in hand by the end of the first quarter, when the visitors held a 19-3 lead.
Nasya O’Connor added 11 points and Mason Quinn chipped in 10.
It’s the 29th year for the girls, and Montana leads it 30 0-14 going into Saturday’s games at Fortin Center on the Rocky Mountain College campus.
Montana boys pull away
Montana’s boys piled it on in the fourth quarter, putting up 30 points – seven coming from Zane Gillhouse and five each from Collison-Blake and Cash Rice and Rogers.
Rogers is out of Missoula Sentinel; Gillhouse, out of Missoula Hellgate, added 14 points.
The boys series, in its 50th year, is now tilted 70-29 in favor of Montana.
