Sluggers take 2 wins in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — After a 2-1 start to the summer in Spokane last week, the Kalispell Sluggers 18u team has taken two more wins this week including an 11-1 win over the 303 Burn Friday.
Reyd Hobart and Carson Bramme each drove in two runs for the Sluggers (4-2) in Friday’s showdown.
Jett Pitts tripled and had an RBI while scoring three runs for Kalispell.
Rowan Burow tossed all five innings in the run-rule shortened victory. He allowed one run on three hits and fanned seven batters.
The Sluggers started the tournament on the right foot with a 3-2 victory over the Albuquerque Sluggers Wednesday.
Tyce Van Orden and Drew Queen drove in runs for Kalispell, who managed eight hits in the game.
Nico Young took the bump and allowed two runs on one hit and struck out 10 batters.
Thursday, the Sluggers fell 7-5 against the Utah Tribe.
Van Orden picked up a hit and drove in a run, while Burow and Kaeden Kahler also picked up RBIs.
Cullen Wallace tossed three innings for the Sluggers, allowing five runs on six hits.
Logan Stewart threw two innings, allowing two runs and sitting down three batters. Hobart went one scoreless inning.
