60th Wedding Anniversary

Mel and Mary Jo Friesz celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Thursday, June 4, 2026.

Mel and Mary Jo were married in 1966 in Hamilton, Mont. In 1975, they moved to Coeur d’Alene, where they have made their home ever since. Over the years, they have built a life filled with love, hard work and many special memories shared with family and friends.

Together, they have seven children: Pam, Shari, Terri, Bill (Gretta), Steve (Kathy), John (Julie) and Lori (Phil). Their family has grown to include 16 grandchildren and 16 great‑grandchildren, all of whom bring them great joy.

Last week, Mel and Mary Jo celebrated this wonderful milestone surrounded by those in the family who could join them, grateful for the many blessings of their 60 years together.
