Hospice of North Idaho announced a $60,000 donation from Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty to support the installation of an updated call light system at the Schneidmiller House.
This contribution will enhance patient care by improving response times and strengthening communication among clinical staff.
The Schneidmiller House, Idaho’s only inpatient hospice facility, provides 24/7 expert medical care in a peaceful environment for individuals at the end of life.
The new call light system is a critical upgrade that will help ensure patient and family needs are recognized and addressed promptly and thoughtfully.
“The Schneidmiller House is a place where patients and families are surrounded with care and compassion as they say goodbye to a loved one,” said Shawna Cauley, executive director of Hospice of North Idaho. “That experience is intimate and deeply meaningful. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty, our team will be able to respond even more quickly and attentively to patient and family needs. This truly enhances bedside care, and we are incredibly grateful for their continued investment in our mission.”
Hospice nurse Candi Goodsell also shared the impact of the new system: “The updated call light system will greatly improve efficiency, timeliness and communication between patients, families, and the care team. It will provide greater reassurance and peace of mind, knowing that needs are heard and addressed.”
Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty has long supported initiatives that strengthen the local community. This donation reflects its ongoing commitment to improving the lives of individuals and families throughout North Idaho.
“HONI is deeply thankful for partners like Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty,” Cauley added. “I am continually inspired by the generosity of our community. After 45 years of service, we remain committed to providing exceptional end-of-life care when families need us most.”
