Libby Dam Disc Golf Course's gets new baskets

The Kooky Noosa disc golf course at the Libby Dam has new Innova Discatcher baskets thanks to a grant from the LOR Foundation.
The original baskets were installed 17 years ago and came from an existing course at another Corp of Engineer site. These new baskets are one of the most popular in the sport today and are found on courses across the United States and Europe.
The bright yellow band at the top makes them highly visible for the wooded course at the dam and the improved chain-design increases the likelihood a disc stays in the basket.
Jon Reny, Libby Dam Cooperative Association, thanked Mac's Market, Big Sky Lumber and Jeff Gruber Sawmill for their support.
"The Libby Dam staff provided a great deal of support and help in the planning of this project and in preparing for the assembly and installation of the baskets," Reny said. "A crew of disc golfers from Libby and Troy showed up May 16, along with Ruth Fenn and her 4-wheeler and trailer. Together, we were able to assemble and install the new baskets in just under four and a half hours."
As one person from Bozeman said, "This makes a great course even better."
