Libby's Kale Riddle drove in three runs and the Loggers took the second game of a doubleheader against the Missoula A Mavericks Saturday in Legion baseball.

Bransen Holzer added two RBIs in a 3-for four outing as Libby took game two 14-7. Missoula won 13-3 in the first game.

Elijah Foulke hit a two-run double for the Loggers.

James Woody went 3 2/3 innings on the mound, allowing five runs on one hit. He fanned four.

In game one, Missoula capitalized on six extra base hits, including two doubles from Uriah Johnson.

Johnson drove in four runs, while Emery Hampson had two triples and knocked in two runs.

Ian Thom had a double for the Loggers, who were held to three runs on three hits.

Libby played at Cranbrook for a Sunday doubleheader. The Loggers dropped both in heartbreaking fashion.

Bandits 8, Loggers 7

Libby scored five runs in the fifth to lead 6-5, then knotted the score at 7-7 after Bransen Holzer singled and then came in on a double steal with Ian Thom.

The big hits in the fifth were a two-run single from Jack Nagle and an RBI base hit from Kale Riddle. Holzer had three hits, two of them triples. Thom had a double and two RBIs.

Bandits 10, Loggers 9

The Loggers (3-6) scored five runs in the sixth inning of this one, as they rallied from a 5-2 deficit to lead 9-5. Brody Gilmore’s two-run single capped that rally, which was helped along by three straight errors by the Bandits.

Cranbrook answered with four runs in their half of the sixth. A walk and two singles set up a bases-loaded walk and Hunter Willard followed with a two-run double to cut the gap to 9-8. A sacrifice fly brought in the tying run.

Jordan Griffin scored three runs for Libby and Riddle drove in two.

The Loggers return home Thursday to host a doubleheader against the Mission Mariners. First game begins at 5 p.m.
