Dewayne 'Punky' Chambers, 81

Dewayne Chambers, 81, of Gold Canyon, Ariz., passed away Feb. 15, 2026.

He was born in Caliente, Nev., on May 12, 1944. Dewayne graduated from Wallace High School and received a Bachelor's degree in Business from Lewis & Clark University.

He was married to Penny J. Chambers on Oct. 13, 1971, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Dewayne worked as an International Mining Manager. 

He had a passion for sports, fly fishing, travel, storytelling, dancing and his family and friends.

Dewayne is survived by his wife, Penny J. Chambers; his daughter, Charity A. Chambers; his granddaughter, Avery J. Fisher and grandson Daniel J. Fisher, Jr.; his siblings, Naomi Ballard, Bob Chambers and Kenneth Chambers.

There will be a gathering of friends and family at the Pinehurst Park, Kitchen 1, on June 27 at 1 p.m. Please bring your stories and share.
