LEGION BASEBALL: Northern Lakes slugs past Lewis-Clark

LEWISTON — Ethan Pecor hit a two-run single to give Northern Lakes a 6-4 lead as part of a six-run inning as the Mountaineers defeated the Lewis-Clark Cubs 10-4 in a Class A North Idaho League game at Harris Field on Wednesday.
Jake Larcher, a recent graduate of Lakeland High, had two hits and three runs scored for Northern Lakes, which trailed 4-2 after four innings.
In the second game, Grant Rigler went 4 for 3 with three RBIs and three runs scored as the Mountaineers beat the Cubs 20-6 in a nonleague game. Larcher, Dane Perkl and Gage Haines also scored three runs each for Northern Lakes (6-2, 2-1 NIL), which hosts Orofino in a doubleheader at John Shaffer Field in Spirit Lake.
Lewis-Clark is 9-3, 2-1.
