We hope all of you had a great Flag Day (June 14) celebration! Hurray for Summer (June 21), which is also Father’s Day!

I love it when we get that much-needed influx of tourist dollars and the foreign currency they spend here from all those areas like Washington and California! Treat them with respect. They help us get through January and February.

Do not invite them to stay for long, but invite them back for Fall, Winter and Spring!

Now we begin another four months of political ads. Don’t believe any of those ads. Just research the candidate and their history and try to discover their true character, then vote and hope for the best.

Gift your grandchildren with the habit of voting. It is our destiny that is at stake.

Activities at the Polson Senior Center include: bingo at 6 p.m. Fridays and card bingo, 6 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays; pinochle, 12:30 p.m. Monday, no pass, and Thursdays, pass four (new and old players welcome); pool table available 8 a.m.-3 p.m. daily; mahjong and bridge, noon Wednesdays (looking for substitutes and regular players); exercise class (low impact and video-assisted), 10:30-11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday-Friday ($5 donation). Milk is available with all meals.
