Yes, I support NBFD firefighters

Yes, I support the NBFD firefighters and not raising property taxes. Both goals can be accomplished when the board trusts its membership to raise the funds and says no to tax proposal. Full disclosure:

Yes, I believe in paying forward for past blessings;

Yes, I am an “outsider” from Connecticut and California;

Yes, I will pay an increased fire fee ($250);

Yes, I will donate above the fee and many members are doing the same and probably some members are doing more;

Yes, I believe in God, country, family and neighbors helping neighbors;

Yes, I believe in limited government and common-sense taxation.

Members are only asking the board for two years to begin rebuilding trust with the board to raise the funds to support our committed firefighters. Instead of deceiving the members (as a board member courageously stated), by previously voting to pass the tax proposal first, the board disingenuously then asked the members for input which the board ignored. Together, even the impossible is possible by turning adversity into an opportunity for success if the board will trusts the members.
