NO. 32173 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FLATHEAD COUNTY PLANNING BOARD REGULAR MEETING The Flathead County Planning Board will hold their regular meeting on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, beginning at 6:00pm in the Country Kitchen at the Flathead County Fairgrounds, 265 North Meridian, Kalispell, Montana. During this meeting, the Board will hold a public hearing to consider the agenda items described below and make a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners who will take final action.  1. A privately initiated text amendment to various sections of the Flathead County Zoning Regulations (FCZR). The proposed amendment seeks to add additional marijuana uses to business and industrial zones, provide performance standards and definitions for marijuana operations.  2. THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR THIS MATTER HAS BEEN CLOSED. A public-initiated ordinance, designed to meet the requirements of M.C.A. 67-7-102. This Ordinance and the accompanying map(s) shall be known as, and shall be cited and referred to as, the “Airport Affected Area (AAA)” in accordance with and exercising the authority of Section 67-7-201, Montana Code Annotated (M.C.A.). It is the purpose of this ordinance to promote public health, safety, and general welfare by the delineation of an airport affected area and by the development of compatible noise, height, and land use regulations to control airport hazards.  3. A privately initiated zoning text amendment to Section 3.40.040(2)(C) of the Flathead County Zoning Regulations (FCZR). The proposed amendment seeks to reduce the setback requirements in the ‘NF North Fork’ Zoning Use District. The revised proposal would reduce the current 100 foot setback from public roads to 20 feet and establish a 10 foot setback from private roads, where no setback is currently required.
