Bayview getting Ziply Fiber
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 6 days, 19 hours AGO
Plans to build an ultra-high speed 100% fiber-optic network in Bayview were announced Tuesday. When construction is complete, fiber internet in Bayview will reach more than 500 residential and business addresses, delivering speeds up to 50 Gigs.
According to Ziply Fiber, construction of this new fiber internet network is important because in Bayview, like across much of the country, much of the community still relies on outdated cable or copper infrastructure, which were never designed to handle today’s internet needs and speeds.
“Our priority continues to connect more and more communities to the fastest fiber internet available,” said Harold Zeitz, CEO of Ziply Fiber. “This is a highly reliable, dedicated fiber that runs from our fiber backbone all the way to individual homes and businesses.”
Zeitz added that the network is built to handle the demands of today’s user, who connects multiple devices and expects top performance, while also providing the community with ample capacity for future growth.
No start or completion date was given.
