CRANBROOK, Alberta — The Cranbrook Bandits got two runs on a fielder’s choice to take the lead and an 8-7 victory in the first game of a sweep over the Kalispell A Lakers.

In game two, Cranbrook (15-6) used a seven-run sixth inning to take an 11-5 victory.

Quentin Evans had a pair of hits, and Olly Williams drove in two runs for the Bandits in the game one victory.

Madden Carrier hit a grand slam in the fifth to give Kalispell a 6-5 lead, but three runs in the bottom half of the inning pushed the Bandits back ahead.

Kalispell added one more on a bases loaded walk in the sixth to make it 8-7, but a double play and a groundout stopped the rally.

Carrier tossed two no-hit innings for the Lakers (4-8). Wyatt Sharp went four innings, fanning five.

Stellaen Damery had two no-hit innings to close out the win for the Bandits.

In the second game, Chase Neadeau gave Kalispell a 5-4 lead with a two-run single in the fifth.

Cranbrook responded in the sixth though with a single and a wild pitch helping the Bandits to a 6-5 lead. Ty Dupley capped off the seven-run frame with a two-RBI double to left field, making it 11-5.

Sharp and Landon Jacobsen had doubles for Kalispell.

Kalispell is back home next Saturday for two more games against the Bandits starting at 1 p.m.
