TOWS BUILDINGS TO CLARK FORK SITES

Kenmore Marina is working practically around the clock while high water in Lake Pend Oreille allows them to float materials from the former Farragut naval training center to an easy landing on the river banks near Clark Fork. They towed one large building about 32x90 feet in two sections; four other buildings have also been moved to that area.

FARRAGUT HOMES AVAILABLE

In the present housing shortage it is interesting to note that homes from the Farragut civilian village are available at the site for around $1,700. They can be loaded, towed down the lake, unloaded at Sandpoint, delivered to a new site and set on blocks or foundation for about $2,000. The buildings, two-bedrooms, with kitchen, living room and bath, are sold complete with all wiring, electrical and plumbing fixtures, wood-burning heater and kitchen range. The windows are glazed and screened; the roof is of composition shingles. If desired, a concrete chimney is available. Towing to Sandpoint is not dependent on high water and can be done at any time.
