Three basin athletes head to all-state

MOSES LAKE — More than 90 of the top graduating senior baseball players from high schools from Washington will compete across four teams this weekend for the 2026 All-State Baseball Series, presented in partnership with the Washington State Baseball Coaches Association. The showcase will take place June 27-28 at Parker Faller Field in Yakima. 

“The All-State Baseball Series is about celebrating the accomplishments of Washington’s senior baseball players and providing them one final opportunity to compete at a high level,” said All State Baseball event organizers in a press release. “The weekend brings together some of the most accomplished athletes in the state while highlighting the strength and tradition of Washington high school baseball.” 

Three local athletes have made it onto All-State team rosters. Caden Correia from Almira/Coulee-Hartline, a two-time League MVP, was selected to play for Team Baker this weekend. 

Two players from Othello will be making the trip to play on the All-State roster for Team Rainier. Aiden Garza and Quade Gonzalez, both made First Team All-League in their senior seasons and competed at the Columbia Basin series All-Star game earlier this month. 

Team Rainier will be coached by Alan Dillman from Woodinville, and Team Baker will be coached by Derek Bingham from Lake Washington. 

The All-State games start June 27 where Team Baker takes on Team Adams at 11 a.m. and Team St. Helens takes on Team Rainier at 3 p.m. The final games take place June 28 with the Consolation Game taking place at 10:15 a.m. and the Championship game beginning at 1:45 p.m. 

All games will be streamed live on the NFHS Network.
