HOPE — Three people were injured Tuesday afternoon when a Ford pickup truck crossed the centerline and struck a Chevrolet Silverado head-on, shutting down Highway 200 for about three hours.

Idaho State Police said the two-vehicle injury crash happened at about 9:37 a.m. in the 447000 block of Highway 200 near Hope.

An ISP trooper said a 31-year-old male from Oldtown was eastbound in the white Ford F150 when the pickup crossed left of center and struck a westbound Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 72-year-old male from Clark Fork.

The driver and a 35-year-old male passenger of the pickup were transported to a nearby hospital by air ambulance. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to a nearby hospital by ground ambulance, ISP officials said in a press release.

The drivers of the Chevrolet and Ford were both wearing their seatbelts. The passenger of the Ford was not wearing a seatbelt.

The highway was blocked for approximately 3-hours, traffic was diverted onto W. Main Street.

The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
