Just three weeks after opening its doors, Trinity Family Health & Performance is already seeing strong community support and a growing patient base, a response owner Haley Halleman, PA-C, said has exceeded expectations.

Located in the former Grace Bible Church building, the new clinic combines traditional family medicine with an expanded focus on preventive health, hormone optimization, nutrition and wellness services.

For Halleman, the clinic represents the culmination of years of prayer, planning and a desire to provide healthcare in a way that aligns with both her professional passions and the needs she saw within the community.

"My husband and I had been praying for several years about what the next chapter would look like," Halleman said. "This opportunity came up, and the more we prayed about it, the more we felt it was the direction we were supposed to go."

Halleman said Trinity Family Health & Performance gives her the opportunity to provide healthcare in a way that reflects her passion for women's health, hormone optimization, preventive medicine, and whole-person wellness.

The clinic's name reflects both Halleman's personal roots and its mission. "Trinity" is a nod to Trinity County in Northern California, where she grew up, as well as a reflection of her Christian faith. The "family health" portion represents care for patients of all ages, while "performance" refers to helping people optimize how their bodies function through nutrition, fitness, hormone therapy and preventive medicine.

While athletic performance is often associated with the term, Halleman said the clinic's focus is much broader.

"We look at the body as a vessel for living," she said. "We want people to perform at their best in every stage of life."

Halleman said the clinic offers additional options for patients seeking hormone care and wellness-focused services, areas that have grown increasingly important to many patients in recent years.

"I've really focused on getting deep into hormone optimization," she said. "I believe in total health and wellness, and I want to help people invest in their health before problems become serious."

Trinity Family Health & Performance offers family medicine services, chronic disease management, urgent care visits, hormone consultations and wellness-focused care. Online scheduling and a patient portal allow patients to communicate electronically with the clinic, something Halleman said many patients appreciate.

The practice is currently accepting patients and is in the process of credentialing with major insurance providers.

"We encourage people to call and ask if we're already credentialed with their insurance," Halleman said. "If not, we're offering discounted cash-pay options when appropriate."

The clinic is also undergoing renovations, with local contractor Gardner Custom Homes leading the project. While construction is expected to continue for another two to three months, Halleman said temporary treatment rooms are allowing the practice to operate at full capacity in the meantime.

Beyond medical care, Trinity Family Health & Performance plans to offer emergency training and certification courses through Halleman's husband, a firefighter-paramedic and longtime instructor. Future classes are expected to include CPR, first aid, and EMT training opportunities.

Looking ahead, Halleman hopes Trinity Family Health & Performance will continue to grow into a comprehensive healthcare resource for Boundary County and the surrounding region, offering an expanded menu of services focused on both treatment and wellness.

Future plans include adding additional healthcare providers, expanding emergency training opportunities, and exploring services such as a membership-based sauna and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Halleman said she remains grateful for the support and patience the community has shown during the clinic's first few weeks, with the rapid growth and ongoing renovations.

"We love Bonners Ferry. We've been here 10 years, and we're in it for the long haul," she said. "We plan on serving the community in a new way and being another great option for healthcare in Boundary County."
