Ongoing war in Iran harming America

Just a few words about the ongoing war in Iran.

First: It is not over. Negotiations are ongoing for the next 2 months, regarding nuclear issues for that country. As of June 15, the strait was still not open.

Second: It is now estimated that with military expenditures, veterans' benefits, economic chaos, fuel cost and the 300 billion dollars reparation package to Iran, the total cost is over one trillion dollars. That's $3,000 for every single human in the United States. Economic costs to countries receiving oil from the Persian Gulf are nearly impossible to estimate.

Trump fired the chief of cybersecurity when he was told that there was no direct or immediate threat of nuclear deployment by Iran, and Trump then proceeded, without Congress, to wage war.

I am utterly sickened by this as all Americans should be. I am equally sickened by the letters I read in this newspaper and in others voicing ongoing support for what this man is doing to the world.

It is very discouraging that our country has become so poisoned by fear and fanaticism that these actions against another country, and against our own economy and our own principles, all caused by this president, still find support in our spineless Congress and in much of our population.

Even though it is my best hope that voters this November will for one day of their lives set hatred and fear aside, and vote rationally, the damage this has done to America is irreversible, but I know that many of you don't care.
