According to a recent press release, the Town Pump Charitable Foundation is providing $750,000 in grants to volunteer fire departments across the state to help cover the costs of training, equipment, tools, technology, clothing and other necessary items.

Grant applications are available at www.townpumpfoundation.com through Friday, July 17. Grants will be awarded on Friday, July 31.

“It is an honor and a privilege for the Town Pump Charitable Foundation to provide support to volunteer firefighters across Montana,” said Bill McGladdery for the Town Pump Charitable Foundation. “Every day, volunteer firefighters across Montana dedicate their time to protect the life and property of their neighbors.”

McGladdery noted that volunteer fire departments often don’t receive government funding and are dependent on community fundraisers and donations to cover expenses.

“Our culture of good stewardship ensures that we meet or exceed the expectations of Montanans,” he said. “Every day, the Town Pump Foundation strives to make our communities stronger, safer and more sustainable.”
