LIBBY — The Moscow Blue Devils took advantage of six singles and four walks in the 11th inning to put up a nine-spot and take a 13-5 victory over Libby at the Big Bucks Tournament at Lee Gehrig Field Thursday.
Tied at two after seven innings, both teams found runs in the eighth and ninth innings as the automatic runners were brought home. The game featured an extra-inning ruleset similar to the MLB.
Jackson Banks hit the eventual game-winning single, scoring Brock Fealy in the top of the 11th. Sam Rigney hit his second single of the frame to cap off the nine-run outburst.
Libby found a run in the bottom half of the inning on a Noah Gillespie single to left, but a groundout from Boe Miles ended the game.
Kale Hall tossed 3 1-3 innings for the Loggers, allowing one run on two hits.
Rigney went nine innings on the bump, allowing four runs on three hits and fanning 11 batters. Fealy threw two innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out one.
Libby is back in action at the tournament Friday against the Flathead A’s. Mission Valley is also competing at the event.
