Pine Street Farm to Table sets July 18 return

SANDPOINT — What began as a simple farm stand at the end of a driveway has grown into one of the area's most delightful summer gatherings.
On Saturday, July 18, Pine Street Farm to Table will welcome guests to its second annual Farm to Table Dinner, an evening dedicated to celebrating locally grown food, meaningful conversation, hospitality, and the spirit of community that has become the hallmark of Pine Street Farm to Table.
The event's roots trace back to a simple realization: there was more than enough to share.
Years ago, Mike and Kathy Hellman looked across their gardens overflowing with vegetables, flowers, and handmade creations and felt called to invite others into that abundance. What started as a small farm stand quickly became a place where neighbors gathered, friendships formed, and community flourished.
"The Farm to Table Dinner felt like a natural extension of what Pine Street Farm to Table had already become," said Kathy. "The farm stand created connection. The dinner invites people into the experience itself — gathering around a table to celebrate the blessings of the season and the relationships that grow alongside them."
Today, Pine Street Farm to Table has expanded far beyond its original farm stand to include sourdough baked goods, Farm Boxes, the Progressive Garden Tour, and the annual Farm to Table Dinner. Each initiative shares the same purpose: bringing people together around beauty and the flavors of the season.
Guests attending the July 18 dinner will enjoy an elegant Mediterranean-inspired dining experience prepared by chef Enas Blanchard, whose culinary roots reflect the flavors of the region. Thoughtfully selected wine pairings will accompany each decadent course.
Set in an intimate tented setting, the evening offers a feast of Mideast flavors, community and the belief that abundance is meant to be shared.
