Dennis C. Olson, 65, passed away surrounded by the love of his family.
Dennis was born on Nov. 27, 1960, in Mountain Home, Idaho, to Edwin and Gail Olson. He learned the trade of bookbinding before later working for the Flathead County Landfill, where he retired.
Dennis found his greatest joy on the open road. He loved traveling throughout the United States and Canada on his motorcycles, always ready for the next adventure. He also had a special appreciation for pocket watches, enjoying the craftsmanship and history behind each one. Those who knew him will remember his independent spirit and his belief that life was meant to be lived. One of his favorite sayings was, “Don’t wait on anyone — make it happen.” He was also known for saying with a smile, “It don’t rain on me.”
Dennis is survived by his mother, Gail Olson; his children, Lynnette Pence, Matthew Olson, and Allyssa Dillon; his sister, Debby Ernst; and his grandchildren, Cassandra, Lucas, Elizabeth, Joeleenia, James, Cheyanne, Hannah, Rosaleigh, and June.
Dennis will be remembered for his love of the open road, his adventurous spirit, and the many memories he created with family and friends. Above all else, family was everything to him. He believed deeply in the importance of strong ethics, good morals, and the values that hold a family together. His love, loyalty, and commitment to those he cared about will remain a lasting part of his legacy. He will be deeply missed.
