A great year keeps getting better for the NW Avalanche lacrosse team.

After winning the Great Western Lacrosse League title in their first season in the conference, the Avalanche now have their first All-American selection from USA Lacrosse in Grady Robinson.

Domenic Alfieri was also named as the coach of the year for the Avalanche, who capped off a 17-0 season with a 5-3 victory over Jackson Hole in the GWLL championship.

NW Avalanche joined the GWLL this season after competing for the Montana state championship in previous years. The GWLL consists of teams from Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and Washington split into two divisions: North and East.

Robinson is one of three All-Americans selected from the Montana, Idaho and Wyoming region. He finished the season with 21 goals to lead the team and added 11 assists. His 32 points also led the team.

Weston Robinson earned a second-team all-GWLL selection in the midfield.

Grady Robinson led three first-team all-league selections for the Avalanche, joining midfielder Tucker Roberts and defender Robert “Cash” McKay.

Goalie Conner Gall was also a second team all-GWLL selection.

Cruz Grace was named an honorable mention as a faceoff specialist.

All six selections to the all-GWLL teams were named first-team all-conference in the north division.

Caleb Holland was named second-team all-conference at attack.
