A Lakers shut out in doubleheader losses

HAMILTON — Boedy Tadvick drove in three runs as the Bitterroot Red Sox beat the Kalispell A Lakers 10-0 in the opening game of an American Legion baseball doubleheader Sunday.
Bitterroot (17-2) completed the sweep with an 8-0 victory in the following game behind Jackson Lubke’s dominant outing.
In the opener, Tadvick went 2-for-3 with three RBIs while Chase Wagner allowed three hits over five scoreless innings, striking out five. Jacobe Sullenger, Landen Jacobson and Blake Paulsen each had a hit for Kalispell (5-13).
Bitterroot broke open a 3-0 game with seven runs in the fifth. Tadvick capped the rally with a two-run double, and the Red Sox drew five walks in the inning.
Lincoln St. Jean allowed four runs, three earned, on two hits over four innings while striking out three. Bitterroot finished with 11 walks.
In the second game, Bitterroot scored in each of the first three innings before pulling away for the shutout. Chase Wagner opened the scoring with a sacrifice fly in the first; Brady DeMoss added a two-run triple in the second and Jackson Lubke drove in another run with a sacrifice bunt in the third.
