Best show ever

We’ve all seen it before at the Bigfork Summer Playhouse, but this season’s “The Music Man” is probably their best ever. Snappy choreography, a solid supporting cast, a wonderful barbershop quartet, outstanding singing and acting from leads Arden Quagliano and Aengus McCullough, plus a breakout performance from young Renzo Spencer will get your face grinning, your hands clapping and your toe tapping. The opening train scene alone is worth the price of admission.

You know the drill. When the word gets around and more summer visitors arrive, these tickets will vanish quickly.

Echo chamber

As I read the letters to the editor on Father’s Day, I am reminded there is comfort in the echo chamber.

One letter which is written by a frequent writer suggests that what is being done in Iran is the right thing to do. The other one written by somebody who I have never seen in this section points out that we gained nothing. The straight of Hormuz was open before this, fuel was cheaper, we had an agreement with Iran that allowed us to inspect their facilities and limit their ability to produce weapons grade uranium. Now we have to go back in and supposedly rebuild what we destroyed and it looks like we are going to pay for it.

I’m not sure how that sounds like progress unless you’re in an echo chamber that just repeats your diatribes back to you.

We are also waiting for the war in Ukraine to end like it was supposed to on day one, waiting for prices to come down and definitely fuel prices to come down.

Now let’s get back to those Epstein files that were to be release, but then redacted all the names of friends in them. This is disgusting and embarrassing to see the United States who has all of this evidence sit on it while other countries vigorously go after those being named. This is all a distraction from those files. Some of the things described are impossible for me to even finish reading. I did not know humanity was capable of such awful things.

Just a reminder, some people don’t care about stuff like this and it’s obvious when I read the letters.  Who are these people? I would look first in echo chambers.
