Glacier National Park reopens Going-to-the-Sun Road in its entirety; Many Glacier Road reopens, too

Jackson Creek had jumped its banks near Lake McDonald Lodge on Monday, but there was no significant flooding threat.
Glacier National Park reopened Going-to-the-Sun Road in its entirety on Tuesday evening about 4:48 p.m.
The road had been closed since about Sunday at 2 p.m. due to heavy rain and the threat of flooding in the alpine section.
The Many Glacier Road has also reopened as have the hotels in the valley. Most of the trails remain closed in the valley until the high water recedes for safe travel, the Park Service said in a release. The campground is projected to open July 2 if conditions allow for it.
Numerous other trails in Glacier remain closed due to high water and visitors are urged to use extreme caution near rivers and streams, as they are flowing very fast. Drowning is one of the leading causes of death in the park.
