SHS dance team hosting car wash

SANDPOINT — The Sandpoint High School Dance Team is inviting the community to help send its talented dancers to a national dance competition in California by attending a fundraising car wash Friday, July 10, at Super 1 Foods in Sandpoint.

The fundraiser will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Super 1 parking lot. Community members are encouraged to bring their vehicles for a wash while supporting the team's travel expenses, competition fees and other costs associated with representing Sandpoint on the national stage.

In addition to sparkling clean cars, attendees will have the opportunity to meet members of the dance team and show their support for local student-athletes working hard both in the classroom and on the competition floor. Donations of any amount are appreciated, and every contribution helps the team get one step closer to competing at the national level.

"This fundraiser is an important part of helping our team achieve our goal of competing nationally," said members of the Sandpoint High School Dance Team. "We're incredibly grateful for the support of our community and hope to see everyone on July 10."

SHS Dance Team members will also be at the Sandpoint Farmers Market, July 11 and July 22 to sell baked goods and other offerings.
