Ryan Washburn Larson, 49, of Moses Lake, WA, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026.

Ryan was born January 2, 1977, to Larry and Jennie Larson, also of Moses Lake. An athletic but shy kid, he excelled at soccer and baseball and loved playing on the state-ranked soccer club, The Cosmos. He graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1995 and attended Washington State University for a time.

Ryan struggled with schizophrenia most of his life. Among his loved ones, he was an incredibly thoughtful and creative thinker and artist. He loved books, music and philosophy, and his memory was like no other.

He is survived by his parents, Jennie and Larry Larson of Moses Lake, his brother Kene (Cassie) of Olympia, and his sister Jamie (David) and three nephews, Colt, Dash, and Jack, of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Ryan’s courage for life and learning, even through the darkness of mental illness, will be remembered always.
