Garten, a senior, won the girls 130-pound wrestling championship on Saturday, beating Rocky Mountain senior Elyse Asaro 13-7 in the championship match. Garten, who finished runner-up as a junior, finished 50-1 this season. “Shelby has grown for the four years she has wrestled by leaps and bounds,” Timberlake coach Jason Jerome said. “She really has no offseason. She works out every day and her diet is dialed in. I believe she would have won at any weight she was at all year.”
