Carol Alstad Vish, 67, of Kalispell, born Nov. 28, 1958, passed away peacefully on Feb. 14, 2026. Born to Dorothy Adeline Thorvilson and Orlando Jerome Alstad, Carol built a life centered on faith, family, hard work and generosity. A smart and dedicated accountant, she was respected for her integrity and commitment throughout her career. She approached everything she did with diligence and quiet strength. Above all, Carol was a devoted mother, grandmother and loving aunt. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She never went shopping without picking up something special for them or proudly showing their latest pictures. Her love for them was constant, steady and unconditional.
She is survived by her only son, Adam Robert Vish; her beloved daughter-in-law, Jazmin Arlene Vish; her cherished grandsons, Liam Robert Vish (7), Avery Marshal Vish (5) and Timber Leonard Vish (1); and her treasured granddaughter, Haizleigh Ray Vish (7).
Carol was previously married to Robert Gerald Vish; they divorced in 2002. She found peace in simple daily routines — long walks through her neighborhood and in Glacier National Park, often accompanied by her beloved rescue dog, Bandit. She had a servant’s heart and would give the coat off her back to anyone in need without hesitation.
A funeral service will be held on March 7 in Kalispell. She will be deeply missed, forever loved and always remembered.

a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance."
