Mary Talcott

Mary Cecelia (Eberts) Talcott, 83, of Moses Lake, Wash., passed away Feb. 18, 2026, surrounded by family and dear friends.
Mary was born Nov. 22, 1942, in Dickinson, N. Dak., to Magdalena and Peter Eberts.
She spent her early years on the family farm in Belfield, N. Dak., and spoke of loving to follow her “daddy” around the farm. Her family later moved to Washington state for her father’s cancer treatment.
Mary was married to Evan Talcott for 22 years. She is survived by three daughters, Jill Talcott, Wendy Hughes and Penny Mayo. She was incredibly proud to be a grandmother to Evan Penhollow, Joey Preston, Emily Preston, Ellie Mayo and Olivia Mayo. Mary is also survived by sisters Shirley McCormick and Sharon Eberts and brothers Terry Eberts and Danny Deaver.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Charlotte Eberts, Arlene Palachuck, Joyce Holland, Vivian Faith and brother, Roger Deaver.
Mary was also loved deeply by adoring friends/surrogate family— Mike and Mini Lewis, Crystal, Romie, Isabelle and Maxwell Rodriguez, Clair, Jaylin, Tobias, Sofia and Elizandra Nuñez, JJ and Elijah Godinez, Joey, Ana and Charlotte Garza, Naomi Castillo and Alejandra Toevs.
Mary held several occupations throughout her life, including business owner/partner in establishing Toyota of Moses Lake and Budget Rent-A-Car. She later worked for Catholic Family/Volunteer Services, where she was honored to serve the Moses Lake community. An extremely artistic soul, she delighted in painting, sewing, quilting, jewelry making and singing.
Mary was very active in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She taught confraternity of Christian Doctrine – or CCD - classes and loved singing in the church choir, where she made wonderful lifelong friends.
Family and friends are invited to a Rosary Service on Friday, March 27 at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 200 North Dale Road in Moses Lake.
