Police Calls: Car-eating driveway on Dakota Avenue

Feb. 15
The caller thought it was strange that a customer used an inmate ID at a location on Highway 93. He didn’t ask questions.
Suspicious activity on Jasper Loop involved two males and two females driving in a Jeep as if the driver was intoxicated. They hopped a fence and got into the hot tub area after yelling at the caller and threatening him.
Feb. 16
A strange male with long brown hair and a beard had been hanging out in an area near East Seventh Street.
Two silver vehicles had a non-injury accident near Big Mountain Road.
A driver of a smaller SUV pulled out in front of the caller and ran a red light.
Feb. 17
Six motor vehicle accidents occurred within two hours of one another. There were no injuries.
Someone believes she left a cross-body bag at a business on Central Avenue.
Feb. 19
Reportedly, a dog had been howling for a while on East Fourth Street.
A balding male was directing traffic from the middle of the street. The caller thought he may not be mentally stable.
The driver of a Tacoma was seen on Highway 40 overcorrecting, speeding, drifting and swerving all over the road. He also stopped in the middle of an intersection.
There was a hit and run accident reported on Central Avenue, involving a Nissan and a BMW.
A driveway on Dakota Avenue apparently has a pit and someone drove into it. The caller thought the driver may be drunk.
Feb. 20
Drug paraphernalia was found in the coat pocket of a pedestrian.
It was reported that a large, long-haired white dog jumped out of a vehicle at a location on Baker Avenue and was seen wandering around.
