Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday, March 9, at 2 a.m. Set your timepieces ahead one hour on Saturday night before bed. Go to bed an hour early to help with “time-lag syndrome.” It could take a week or so to get used to the change.
The Olympic fever has subsided. Up next is the March Madness basketball tournaments.
Do yourself a favor and get out and walk for a while. Know your limits. Come to our easy-peasy exercise class or start one of your own.
Our Transportation Service has limited rides available for seniors who provide 24-hour notice. The cost is $8 for a round trip. We only have one driver, and priority is given to health appointments. Area 6 Council on Aging and CSKT Transit also provides rides; costs may vary. Please call the center for phone numbers.
We are in need of volunteer route driver(s) for meal deliveries from 11 a.m.-noon Wednesdays and possibly Thursdays starting April 1. We will train you for the route which involves about 14 stops; you must use your own vehicle.
Get help with your taxes from the free AARP Tax Assistance Program on Mondays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m, through April 15. You must register for an appointment and fill out an information packet. AARP provides computers, fax machines for electronic filing, and a well-trained, experienced staff of licensed tax preparation volunteers to assist you.
A toenail clinic will be held in March. Please sign up to reserve a time. The cost is $30.
Cribbage will be organized weekly on Wednesdays in March. A name and phone number are required. All skill levels are welcome.

We have space for small groups to meet for social, health or educational purposes. Wednesdays are best; other weekdays are as well. Our community center is open for special events on weekends and evenings. Call for details.
