From busking in New Orleans to touring Europe, the folk ensemble Rising Appalachia makes their way to the Kalispell stage March 15.

Sisters Leah and Chloe Smith founded Rising Appalachia on their back porch in Georgia, playing simple fiddle and banjo melodies and leaning into their families' rich musical traditions.

The band, whose members include David Brown (bass, guitar), Duncan Wickel (fiddle, cello), and Biko Casini (percussion), has become a globally recognized Americana and world folk ensemble, celebrating a unique blend of Southern-rooted music and storytelling with an Irish influence.

The concert starts at 7 p.m. at the Wachholz College Center, 795 Grandview Dr., Kalispell.

Tickets range in price from $39.60 to $49.50, which includes service fees. Tickets may be purchased online at wccmt.org or by calling the ticket office at 756-1400.
