BOISE, Idaho — The Portland State Vikings took home some pre-tournament plunder

Portland State, the Big Sky regular season champions, earned three individual awards with the release Friday of the all-conference honors: Terry Miller, Jr., is the MVP; Tre-Vaughn Minott repeated as Defensive Player of the Year; and Jase Coburn landed Coach of the Year honors.

Miller Jr. averaged 18.9 points per game for the Vikings, second in the Big Sky, while Minott ended the regular season as the league’s top rebounder 8.9 per contest.
The Vikings’ 13-5 league record (19-10 overall) landed them the No. 1 seed into the Big Sky Tournament that begins Saturday.

Five players were unanimous picks for first-team all-Big Sky: Terri Miller, Montana State’s Jed Miller, Money Williams of Montana, Quinn Denker of Northern Colorado and Eastern Washington’s Isaiah Moses.

Williams, a second-team pick last season, is the league’s leading scorer in 2025-26 at 19.6 ppg.

Moses was named the league’s Newcomer of the Year, after averaging 17.9 points after transferring from UC Riverside.

The Idaho Vandals also picked up a pair of individual honors, as Jackson Rasmussen was named Freshman of the Year and Isaiah Bricker was tabbed the league’s Top Reserve.

In addition to Jed Miller, Montana State saw Patrick McMahon named second team all-Big Sky with Jeremiah making the all-defensive team and Christian King getting honorable mention.

Montana’s Te’Jon Sawyer was honorable mention as well.

All awards are voted on by the league’s 10 head coaches. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own players.
