With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bonnie Karen Barnett, known to Libby, Montana as Bonnie Karen Dutton, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend, who left us on Feb. 9, 2026.

Born June 21,1939 and raised in Libby, Montana, she carried the rugged beauty of her hometown in her soul— strong, free spirited and unforgettable.

Like all lives Bonnie had her challenges. There were hard times that weighed on her heart, moments she felt deeply sad and carried with her, throughout her life, also many happy times.

Bonnie's life was a blend of strength, generosity, love, spunkiness but through it all, she faced life with resilience, and a spirit that refused to give up, she was a fighter to the very end. Bonnie was a hard worker who carried pride in everything she did.

She spent many years as the bartender at the Pastime in Libby, where she served drinks, shared stories, and created an atmosphere of fun, welcoming, warmth and friendship. Her generous heart made her a beloved figure in the community and a people person that were always glad to see.

Bonnie loved cooking for the family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing, entertaining, reading, crocheting, swimming, traveling and being with the family.

Bonnie lived in Reno, Nevada most of her adult life raising a family.

She is survived by her brother Merritt Duton, sister Sheila Strock, daughter Vicki Kuykendall and son’s Renny Dove, Jim Dove and Jeff Johnson; her grandchildren Shawn Smith, Nathan Smith, Haley Kuykendall, Connor Kuykendall, Lauren Bodle, Michael Dove, Owen Johnson, Riley Johnson, Austin Dove, Zachary Dove and several of her great-grandchildren.
