Linda Diane (Spray) Brumet, 74, passed peacefully Feb. 18, 2026, at Brookdale Hearthstone, from a terminal brain aneurysm, with hope and promise beyond this life.

Linda was born April 23, 1951, in Alameda, Cali. to Claude and LaVonne (Rogers) Spray. The family moved to Moses Lake, Wash. in 1955. Linda graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1969, and beauty school. Linda was creative and artistic and loved cats.

Looking for a challenge, she joined the Washington Army National Guard and completed basic training in Jackson, Miss. Upon returning to Washington, she worked in banking and regrettably left the Guard. She managed a busy escrow office in Bellevue. At the age of 31 Linda suffered a cerebral stroke, and she was unable to work. She advocated for stroke survivors and received a Certificate of Appreciation from Governor Booth Gardner for serving on the Governor's Committee on Disability Issues and Employment.

While helping with the MLHS class reunion, she reconnected with classmate Jerry Brumet. They married in 2009 and lived in Blaine, Wash. where Linda made many lasting friendships. Jerry passed in 2014. Linda had many great memories of her and Jerry boating on Birch Bay.

Linda leaves behind her beloved sister Cindy Alporque, nieces Tiana (Robert), Amy (Brendan), great-nephew Kai, great-nieces Kona, Meilani, Athena and Kalea.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 13, at 2:30 p.m. at Brookdale Hearthstone, 905 S. Pioneer Way, Moses Lake, Wash.

Linda's family deeply appreciates the tender care shown to her by all at Brookdale, and in adopting her beloved kitty, Lincoln.
