COEUR d’ALENE — A Post Falls man with a history of sexual offenses will spend up to 15 years in prison after police caught him in a sting operation.

Dustin J. Angele, 28, pleaded guilty in October of 2025 to enticing a child through the internet.

First District Judge Barry McHugh sentenced Angele this week to 15 years in prison, the maximum possible sentence, with parole eligibility after seven years.

The charge stems from April of last year, when prosecutors said Angele was arrested after he arranged to meet with someone he believed to be a 14-year-old for sexual activity.

Prosecutors said Angele had engaged in other “sexually graphic” communications with minors.

In 2018, a 19-year-old Angele pleaded guilty to attempted injury to a child after soliciting a 15-year-old to engage in sexual activity, prosecutors said. He received a sentence of probation, which prosecutors said he violated when he was convicted of misdemeanor sexual battery.

The court opted to retain jurisdiction in the case and placed Angele in a prison treatment program, also called a rider. Upon the completion of the program, he was placed on probation again.
