Western A boys: C-Falls, Browning extend seasons

HAMILTON — Jory Hill scored 25 points and Columbia Falls downed Polson 65-41 Friday in a boys loser-out matchup at the Western A divisional.

After a slow start, Hill knocked down three 3-pointers in the second quarter as Columbia Falls outscored the Pirates 21-8 in the frame. 

In the other loser-out Browning ran away from the hosts Hamilton for a 68-36 victory. 

Reis Reevis scored a game-high 17 for the Indians, who outscored the Broncs in the second half 41-21. 


Columbia Falls 65, Polson 41

The second quarter gave the Wildcats the edge, but they continued the momentum into the second half with a 36-23 advantage after the break. 

Easton Brooks added 13 for Columbia Falls (15-5). 

Malakai Curley led the Pirates with 16 points. Polson ends the season 10-12. 

Columbia Falls faces Butte Central Saturday at Hamilton High School at 9 a.m.; the Maroons fell to Ronan 58-51 in Friday’s late semifinal.

Jack Billedeaux added 11 for Browning (12-8), who jumped ahead 15-10 after one quarter. 

Jake McCarthy led Hamilton with 13 points, Hamilton finishes the season 7-14. 

Browning advances to Saturday morning’s loser-out game against Frenchtown at 9 a.m., at Hamilton Middle School. The Broncs lost to Dillon 55-41 in the semifinals.
